HOW OUR RETURNS WORK STEP BY STEP

Returns 🔄

How long do I have to make a return?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

What conditions must the item meet in order to be able to return it?

The item must be unused, in its original packaging, with tags, and in the same condition that you received it.

How do I initiate a return?

You can write to us at info@jibaritodelacajita.com or initiate a return directly from your account using the self-service return option. To access your account, click here.

Can I make a return on my own (self-service return)?

Yes. During our 30-day return period, you can submit a request directly from your account. Just log in and select the order you wish to return.

Is there a cost to return an item?

The cost of the return shipping label must be covered by the customer when submitting a return request. The price of the label will vary based on the weight and characteristics of your order. If the return is due to an error by Jibarito de la Cajita, we will cover the cost. We do not charge any restocking fees.

Which items cannot be returned?

We do not accept returns of:

  • Digital products
  • Gift cards
  • Customized products (if indicated on the product page)

Can I exchange one item for another?

We do not offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the product you have and then place a new order.

What do I do if I received a damaged or incorrect item?

Contact us immediately at info@jibaritodelacajita.com with your order number and photos of the item. We will resolve the issue with you as soon as possible.

Why can't I get a refund if my order is in transit?

Orders that have been shipped and are in transit are not eligible for immediate refund. You can refuse delivery, and once the carrier returns the package and we receive it, we will process your refund (less any applicable costs).

My package is delayed, can I request a refund?

A delay does not mean the package is lost. USPS only considers a package "lost" after 30 days from the shipping date.

If 30 days have passed and you haven't received it, please contact us.

When will I receive my refund?

Once the return is approved, we process the refund to the original payment method. It may take several days for your bank or credit card company to officially reflect the refund.

Shipping 📦

How long does it take for my order to be processed?

Orders are processed within 2 to 4 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

What are the shipping options for Puerto Rico?

  • Economy: 6 to 9 business days for $7.75.
  • Standard: 4 to 5 business days for $9.50.
  • FedEx Priority: calculated automatically at checkout.

What are the shipping options to the United States?

We offer flat Economy rate and FedEx and USPS services calculated at checkout.

  • Economy (7–20 days): $7.75 to $13.15 depending on the total order.
  • FedEx International Economy: calculated rate + $2 handling.
  • USPS Priority: calculated rate + $1.50 handling.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes. We ship internationally via FedEx International Economy and FedEx Priority.

Fees are calculated automatically at checkout. A $2.00 handling fee applies per order.

Can my package generate additional taxes or charges?

Yes. International shipments may be subject to import taxes, duties, or charges.

These are not included in the shipping cost and are the customer's responsibility.

What happens if the package cannot be delivered?

  • If the address was entered incorrectly, the customer must cover the cost of the return label.
  • If you prefer to cancel, the value of the product will be refunded minus the original shipping cost.
  • If the error was ours, we will resend at no additional cost.

Can I change the shipping address after placing my order?

No. Once the order has been shipped, it is not possible to change the address.

How do I check the status of my order?

You will receive an email with your tracking number when your order has been shipped. You can also log in to your account here to review your order history.

I haven't received my order, what should I do?

If the estimated time has already passed, write to us at info@jibaritodelacajita.com with your name and order number.

What happens if my order includes a pre-order item?

If the item you purchased was available as a Pre-Sale, your shipment will be processed on the shipping date published on the product page at the time of purchase.

This date applies regardless of the day you placed your pre-order.

Does FedEx deliver to P.O. Boxes?

No. FedEx services do not deliver to P.O. Boxes. To avoid delays or returns, make sure to enter a valid physical address when placing your order.

What is the Mi Gente program?

Mi Gente is our way of celebrating with you. Every purchase, every story you take home, and every jibarito moment you share brings you closer to rewards, surprises, and special levels within our family.

How do I join the Mi Gente program?

It's easy: just use the same email address every time you buy. You don't have to fill anything out. We'll take care of the rest.

What are BoriCoins and how do I earn them?

These are the program points. You earn BoriCoins every time you buy:

  • Neighbor: 5 BoriCoins for every $1
  • Friend: 6 BoriCoins per $1
  • Family: 7 BoriCoins for every $1

What benefits do I receive as part of Mi Gente?

You'll receive discounts, early access to special editions, surprises on important dates, birthday celebrations, exclusive products, and more. The more you share with us, the more you grow within the Jibarita family.

How do the levels (Neighbor, Friend, Family) work?

You start as a Neighbor, then move up to Friend, and finally reach Family, where the biggest benefits await. You level up as you shop and engage with our stories throughout the year.

Can I lose my level?

You only need to visit us and make a purchase at least once a year to keep your level active. If you're inactive for longer periods, your level may be adjusted.

Where can I see my BoriCoins and my level?

You can see everything by logging into your account: your level, your accumulated BoriCoins, and what you can redeem. We'll also show you your surprises and special access there.

How do I redeem my BoriCoins?

You can use them to get discounts:

  • 500 BoriCoins = $5 OFF
  • 1,000 BoriCoins = $10 OFF
  • 1,500 BoriCoins = $15 OFF
  • 2,500 BoriCoins = $25 OFF

You can also exchange them for products: you pay for that plush toy or book you want with your BoriCoins.

How does the referral program work?

Share your referral link and everyone wins:

  • You receive 500 BoriCoins ($5) when the person you invited makes their first purchase.
  • Your guest receives a $5 OFF coupon on their first purchase.

What special benefits do I get if I'm a Family level member?

Family sees everything first: new characters, limited collections, special collaborations, new stories coming to the box, and the best rewards of the year.

What happens if I made a purchase using different email addresses?

If you have made purchases using different email addresses, write to us and we will help you combine all your purchases into a single account so that your BoriCoins and your level reflect everything you have experienced with us.

Are my BoriCoins expiring?

As long as you keep your account active with at least one purchase per year, your BoriCoins stay with you. If there is more inactivity, your points may expire.

What do I get for my birthday?

We're celebrating with free BoriCoins, and depending on your level, you might receive additional surprises. Make sure your birthday is up to date in your account so you don't miss out!

Can I use my BoriCoins on discounted products?

It depends on the promotion. Some offers allow the use of BoriCoins, and others don't. When applying a discount with points, the page will tell you if it's compatible with the active promotion.

Will I receive emails with my surprises and benefits?

Yes. Surprises, early access, and rewards are sent directly to your email. Keep your email updated so you don't miss anything we have in store for Mi Gente.
